01Our ventures
One company. Many roots.
Husk grows enterprises across heritage, technology and commerce. Each venture is built on the same principle: protect what matters, and make it last.
The film
Meet HUSK.
Led by John Wynne and delivered with Glyme Valley CIC, the Seedbank is run by part-time staff and volunteers whose passion drives everything we do.

The privatisation of water gave us failures we can see: polluted rivers, leaks, rising bills. The loss of our seed heritage is quieter. Varieties vanish with no protest and no photo opportunity.

Heritage seeds
Living history, hidden behind garden walls.
Heritage seeds are open-pollinated varieties passed down for hundreds of years, saved by generations of gardeners long before industrial agriculture standardised our food. Every year, a few more vanish, taking irreplaceable local knowledge with them.
- Open-pollinatedGrown true from saved seed, generation after generation.
- Locally adaptedShaped over centuries by Oxfordshire's own soil and climate.
- Full of flavourTastes our great-grandparents would instantly recognise.
03The plan

Each plot is one-twelfth of our target, filled by public pledges (£115 so far). The total above also includes £8,000 from West Oxfordshire District Council. Funds support surveys, cataloguing and training across all twelve walled gardens.
